1972 Honda CB750 K2 Tach Seal Placement Question: Pics

Which way does this seal go in? Im going to change it tomorrow.

One side has a track/groove in it that you could run your fingernail through.

The other side is flat with no hollowed out area.

Which way does it go in the head case?
