Ack!!!
I need some advice on removing the clutch basket on my CB400F.
It’s been a few years since I have done this and can’t remember what the trick is.
I have the correct tool for the nut but can not keep the basket from turning.
I tried threading some bolts in and using a big screwdriver between them to keep everything from turning and ended up breaking the threaded stud on the clutch basket center (22120-377-000), ugh!!!
I also tried using an old school impact driver with little success. I do not have access to any air or electric impact drivers.
I looked in the Honda service manual to see if there was a special tool for holding the basket in place and it refers to a CB350F clutch basket, which uses a clip instead of the nut.
So if you have advice, and/or a replacement part for me I would love to hear from you.
Picture reference for how NOT to do it ;-)
