Former BMW enthusiast new to motorcycles and carburetors
« on: August 02, 2019, 11:24:30 AM »
New member here.  Recently purchased a 71’ 750 and I am working to bring it back to stock.  Located in Orange County, CA.  I had some trouble getting it running right and took it to a mechanic, ended up buying a 75 550 he had for sale.  All of this within the last five months.  Needless to say I am hooked on these bikes now.  I had an e30 BMW that I sold last year and bought the 750 as a replacement project.  Look forward to tinkering and learning more about these machines!

Welcome from Lake Superior,

Enjoy the 550.  It can run at 80mph on the freeway if needed and still not be at red line.

Carbs are what keep long time mechanics in business.   ;D
