I have this Cone Eng. muffler that I picked up a long time ago for cheap. I'm thinking about using it on an upcoming project.

I have a CB550 MAC exhaust. The C.E. muffler has a 2.5" I.D. The MAC is hanging in the rafters out back and I can't get to it right now.
Does anyone know if the C.E. muffler fits the MAC header? How did you attach it? Did you use an extension piece or attach straight to the header collector?

This is pretty much the straight through version. I think I picked this up before the "Quieter Core" versions came out.

How obnoxious is it gonna be? Did you have to re-jet for a straight through Cone Eng. muffler?
Just tell me about your experiences with it, please.

I assume it is a straight thru muffler. I have a similar unit with my Delkevic system. Sound is not obnoxious at all. Perhaps a little louder than stock

I have one right on the collector of a 4-1 header. Noisier than stock, but only loud when you really wind it up.......

On a 550? Did you have to mess with jetting? How's it sound at cruising speed, on the highway?
