I didn't think K1's came with K0 side covers.
Wow, unopened engine, cool.

My 1971 K1 has all the original body work. The fork ears are red and so is the headlamp shell. The side covers are smaller than the K0 and the airbox is black. Also still has HM300 pipes.

So the K0 side covers will fit the later bikes?
Oil side is oil tank I thought had different pattern of the holes for covers, left side is the frame.

It's an early K1 by frame # 105xxxx. Build date 10/70. K1 release date was 9/21/70. I never had the correct ( gold ) h/l ears or gold h/l bucket. They were removed at some point when the bike had a Vetter on it :( . The side covers are correct as Honda 'used them up' before going to the solid ones a little later.

K0 by the side cover ears, right?
One example of mixed parts as described earlier about engines. Honda used what they had.
K0 1/2
Very interesting example. Might be wort extra with that history, K0 style and K1 serial.... Chromed lamp ears a la K2 by PO?

PeWe… the chrome ears and black bucket came off a K4 parts bike. I know I should try to source gold ears and bucket (I've seen them on E-Bay ) but I'm not obsessed by making the bike original. I just love to ride it and it starts and rides like a champion every time ! So, maybe someday. Ride 'em, don't hide 'em at the moment....lol.

Good to have parts in stock (garage) when finding them/while still available for future use :)  8)
It might be possible with a swap, another CB750 on this forum might have what you need, that bike need the later parts as your bike has.
