1979 CB750 Spoked Rims to Comstar Rims (please help)
« on: July 26, 2019, 10:02:26 PM »
Looking to swap out the original spoked rims on my 1979 CB750c with ComStar rims. The original spoked rims were rusted through and it's cheaper to buy second-hand Comstar rims rather than new spoked rims. Need some clarification on whether the Comstar rims would be a direct bolt-on if I buy rims of the same year or that off of an 80 or 81.

Or any other ideas of cheaper options for rims with little to no modifications to forks, swingarm, ect.

thanks.

Not a direct swop as brakes and other stuff is different
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Converted from spokes to mags on my 76F, but I already had rear disc, and I upgraded to dual disc up front with a 78 front end.
