About four years ago I joined this forum under the username “cbparakeet”. I had bought a ‘77 400F in parakeet yellow. Faced with many problems initially, I sought this forum for good advice and some help. Mr. Calj737 helped me with every single problem on that bike. He guided me from bullet connector to bullet connector. We went through everything together through this forum. Long story short, after much help from Cal and effort, we got my bikes electrical issues squared away.
I received an offer to go to NYC. More of an invitation from a girl I was seeing at the time. After all of that work, I sold the 400. What’s worse, on the day of its sale, I dropped it. I parked it on its kickstand on an uneven surface and walked away for a moment - it dropped. Wouldn’t start and I completely shattered my left turn signal. I sold the bike for $1400 . $1,100 less than what I paid for it (Cal helped me draft a proper bill of sale as well).
Anyways. I’m excited. I’m about to purchase a ‘75 CB550F. I won’t go into too much detail about it just yet. I’m picking it up in about a week.
This is more of a greeting to all of those out there on the forum and also, a heads up to Cal - He may have to open 1-800-CALL-CAL! once again (how have you been Cal!?)
So yeah, hello to everyone and Cal, you’re the man. Thank you for all that help years ago!
