Watch those turn limits!
« on: January 30, 2007, 07:14:43 PM »
I have ridden 750's for 36 years and only dropped one once while almost stopped
on wet pavement....and no it wasn't the bikes fault! So last night I managed to drop
the CBR turning into a parking space at a snails pace when the clipon hit the stops.
Fortunately, only a scratch on one decal so I lucked out.

I have decided that it is easier to drop them at low speeds then the much heavier
750's.  Also, if I had to make a really sharp u-y, I think I would walk it around.  ::)
The mirrors are in so close it is impossible to see behind you....which makes me
really nervous having been hit three times from behind in cars. Handles great with
a little speed though.

Maybe I should enroll in the motorcyclist equivalent to "parallel parking 101".  ;D

After owning my CBRXX for only a month, while approaching my driveway behind my brother I checked-up on the steering and started to go down.  I remember fearing damage to the bike along with OMG this bike is heavy, damage suffered, none.  Pride and shoulder, a little sore and smarter to stop straight.

That day I would have given anything to be on a smaller bike, or at least no whitnesses.  Glad all's ok.
