Screws in the intake.

I’ve got a 77 550F. I noticed a screw in each intake pipe. Does anyone know their purpose?  Just curious.

yes and always worth doing, just set the carbs on my 400F and it transformed it from a rattly sounding nail to a quiet lovely sounding motor. All the clutch basket and primary rattling/chattering gone!
