Topic: 79 CB650 carburetor

I am in need of some assistance with my carbs or some replacement. I have completely rebuild my oem set and tried two seal kits and carburetor 2,4 like from the bowls no matter what. I made sure to get seal sit in groove and not be pinched.
What options do I have for another set? Like 750 same year?
I was given a set from a 93 cbr600rr but could not even get those to install properly, even with the CBR intake boots.
I do not have a lot of money to spend .I definitely cannot afford $1000 carbs .

Also in the middle of a 79' 650 carb rebuild, so I know your pain! Have you covered your bases looking around on craigslist for a donor bike or for a junkyard parting a bike out?  In my own experience ebay has also been a fairly good resource for parts, there are a few cb650 carbs being parted out on there right now.
