CB400f carb float pin post broken
« on: August 18, 2019, 08:52:31 am »
Hello all,

New to the group and have a question..

I have a set of CB400f carbs that have been sitting for 20 years.. During disassembly I got all but one of the float pins removed and ran into trouble.. I got pin halfway through and the top of the pin post broke..  Maybe this is a dumb question... is it fixable? Or just find another set?

Sure, best is to find a replacement but yes, this can be fixed. Get in touch with Jim French.

Thanks for the feedback!! So i May have found a replacement carb body. What about the throttle valve slide? Can I use the one from the old carb? Do I need to get a new one?

Thanks!

You can use the old slide and all other parts as long as they’re in good condition. Good luck!
