dyna-s on a cb650

hello all.  i recently discovered that my pulse generator is not functioning correctly, so i'm trying to fit a dyna-s (DS1-2) on my '79 cb650.  now dynatek doesn't make a unit for my model, so i got one that fits a 550 & 750.  the mounting plate is a little bit larger than stock, so i cut it down to fit.  now my question is the wiring, before i kill something.  the dyna has a 2 wires for each set of coils (1&4,2&3) and a red wire to go to ignition switched 12 volts.  now since this unit is for another bike, my wiring is a little different.  on my 4 pin connector which connects to the pulse unit, 2 wires are for one set of coils (yellow) and the other 2 are for the other set of coils(blue).  should i connect the dyna to this connection or straight to the coils?

well for those who want to know, i called dynatek and this is what they told me.  they said to wire the unit staight to the coils and they are sending me a resistor to put on my coils to obtain the 3 ohms i need to run this safely.  i'll let you know how this works, in case anyone wants to run this system on their cb650.

How did this go?

And is the Dyna S a step better than already exists stock on CB650's?

well the dyna s works on my bike, but i think i need to swap out my coils for some 3ohm coils. when the bike is cold, i have to constantly play with the throttle.  but after it's warm (about a mile),  it runs great.

I don't rember, are you running the stock airbox/filter?

yup, all stock.  i'll probably get a fram a/f, but i took off the filter cover, and i just put large washers to hold the a/f in place.
