Do I need to replace petcock seals if I remove it from tank? 1981 CB650

Do I need to replace petcock seal if I remove it from tank? I am going to be cleaning out the inside of the tank of my 1981 CB650. I don't have any previous issues with the petcock, but was wondering if there was rubber that needed to be replaced if it's ever removed.

No, not unless it starts leaking. I have removed and reinstalled many petcocks without replacing the seal.
