CB750 engine in a 82 650 frame?
« on: April 20, 2022, 08:49:24 AM »
Only tossing the idea around right now. Anyone ever try a SOHC 750 in a 650 (or 500/550) frame? My 650 may or may not be "salvageable" and just floating different ideas just in case the 650 is done (lots of parts are no longer for 650 rebuilds).

Moving/fabricating the mount points around isn't an issue for me, I'm well equipped for that. I'm more worried about clearance inside the frame and any difficulties with servicing (ie: valve clearances, carb removals, etc) or other "gotcha's" like chain alignment....

Might be a better idea to fit a 500\550 in there. Easier and better parts availabilty.
