Loosening stuck cb500 mirror adjustment nuts
« on: September 16, 2019, 07:45:12 PM »
So the adjustment nuts on my cb500 mirrors are stuck at the top of their stems/posts/arms.  Rust I assume.  Sprayed some PB Blaster at noon and still not able to loosen at 6 p.m.  Soaking in EvapoRust right now.

Any tips to loosen these?  Anyone solve this one?

Try lightly warming just the nut (I assume they are chrome plated?] with a propane torch. Even a bit of heat should get them to expand off the threads.....
