New Guy with old CB750

I am the original owner of a 1972 CB750. In fact I took it out of the crate! It was shipped state side from the factory. A guy bought it while serving in Vietnam. When he got back in the States he wanted a chopper. I traded my 1954 Panhead for the Honda still in the crate.

From searching the forum last night I found out my 1972 CB750 is a K1 CB750 JDM. The paint is Polynesian Blue and has the speed warning light.

Here is a picture of the panhead. 1954 engine and 1948 hardtail frame raked an inch. Springer front forks were extended a foot. I had just finished the build and had not mounted the rear of the seat yet.

I was 20 years old and just built my second chopper. So the answer is no. I changed the seat and handlebars. Wish I knew now what I didn't know then!!

The K1 has 20240 miles on it. Rode a lot first two years then we got married and life starting happening.
The Panhead chopper does have 1971 Michigan plate. I lived just outside of Grand Rapids, MI.

New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

Nice bike!
But then, I'm partial...
The drippy carbs might just need to have the bowls pulled off, a catch pan set under them, and then turn on the fuel to Reserve and let them flush out the grit in the lines a little bit.
