Any old Navy guys out there? I picked up a 68 CT90K0 in Sacramento recently. It has this sticker on the side that says (if for some reason you can't see the images) SUPSHIP 11, Long Beach, US Navy. The original owner clearly worked to keep it rust free. There's orange paint all over the frame and you can see they did it with a broad brush. I think the color is actually international orange, which is used in naval and aerospace industries for high visibility... A lot of the hardware has been replaced with galvanized too. I'm pretty sure this was someone's shipyard commuter. I've heard of the littler Honda's being popular on shipyards since they were easy to ride and could carry a load. Does anyone else have any history like that? I'm endlessly curious about this. And I gotta know where this sticker came from, man, it's really cool. I want to paint the whole bike in that industrial orange and I wanna restore the sticker. I just think it has so much character...
