Pilot Screw Adjusting Tool
« on: August 27, 2019, 09:13:56 AM »
I just want to get some feedback if possible.
Will this tool do the trick for adjusting the Pilot Screw on a 1979 CB650?

I assume you’re taking about the idle mixture screw and not unscrewung the pilot jet. I don’t know for sure, but I would say yes. Although any small short flat head would work. I made a little crap one that I used for mine. I know the PD carbs and they aren’t that easy to get to but on a cold motor a small screw driver works fine.

Thank you.
My hands are all burned up from adjusting once the bike is at operating temperature.

And yes, not pilot jets, to adjust the a/f mix.

It adjusts the idle A/F mix ratio.  Need a right angle screwdriver.  I made one from a slot car rear axle pinion gear.
