Please share information about sources (vendors, etc) for parts unique to the "A" bikes.

Let's exclude ebay and/or other sites that don't have continual inventory.

Please exclude parts common to "A" and "K" bikes.

Vendors that sell "A" parts are welcome to post a link.

The CB750A shares clutch parts with the Honda Civic car from the early 70's.

I have found these for sell in "sets" from transmission supply houses; although the necessary quantity didn't always match.

So, if your motorcycle parts source doesn't have them (or says they can't get them), search for Honda car clutches.  The part numbers will match.

I found this fact by internet sources, and I'm not the only one:

Fibers and steels? Available in rebuild kits for late 70's Honda Civics with the 2 speed automatic transmissions. Yes they interchange. Also less expensive than the bike discs. The car rebuild "kits" have fewer discs than the Hondamatics take. There are a lot of suppliers out there for the Civic transmission parts. Here's one that I've used.

Here's where I got them from in Sept. 2012.
"We can get these for you separately. The frictions are $1.93  each and the steels are $5.25 each. We will have to drop ship them from the manufacturer, freight should be about $10.00.  If you would like to order them let me know.

Hope this helps. 

     If you have a high mileage Hondamatic 750 or are rebuilding one for more performance, replacing the clutch discs and steels are good insurance when your block is split for bearings/etc.
     I can't find an internet listing for D&E Automotive Products. Alto has a web site showing distributors in the USA, none in the northeast. I emailed an inquiry to them that wasn't responded to.
    The cheap source is still out there. $1.85 each is very cheap until you add the $99.00+ shipping charge when I tried to buy 10 of each.
     Speaking of getting 10 each of the discs/steels, you only get 8 of each with the Civic overhaul kit. Makotransmissionparts.com has allowed me to buy more of the friction discs at $1.93 each and the steels at $5.25 each with a reasonable shipping charge direct from their supplier.
     Yes, the car and bike discs interchange. Your local import transmission rebuilder may have sources that we don't. Just an update for these parts.

 I mentioned that early Honda car trans parts can swap to the bike on facebook. One of the Prima donna "experts" just replied, no.  So much for him being a go to guy on info. I proved him wrong on other info also.

Ive been using these guys https://www.vintagecb750.com/ they are in Canada but the shipping is still fast to me in Florida. Lots of parts specific to As.

Hi, First time post and coincidentally have a question re CB750 A forks. (not sure whether I should post here or...?)

I have a pair of forks - per image - that were described as 1979 A’s; this date may have been incorrect as I thought the A stopped in 1978?
I plan to use these (with new triples) on a CB400F project I am working up for reasons including rigidity, potentially greater range of brake options and running twin discs.
Would someone confirm if these are from the A bike or another model.

Any suggestions regarding upgrading brakes - aside from using  this models OEM: Im looking to update calipers/rotors (looking for something not too modern so not Brembo etc).

Any advice welcome.

Like I mentioned last September, the Honda two piston calipers are the best bang for the buck.

It's no 28 in the low clutch/mainshaft diagram

And the correct part number is 91204-393-003

Would this work, 1mm difference?

Seals 52x75x8 Nitrile Rubber Rotary Shaft Oil Seal 52X75X8 NBR Simmer A 52x75x8

Anybody any clue if the 1mm would result in leaking?

 If 53 is the ID I'd think a 52 would be tighter rather than looser.

It's a tight fit, but a fit. Another concern is that it has no "legs" but is fully closed, while the Honda one is not. I hope its not to get oil to the bearing, but I think this bearing is submerged in the oil.

No guts no glory and no other solution, so I'm gonna close the cases and continue the rebuild.

There are a few now on ebay, I got 1 now for spare since I closed the cases already and all seems fine sofar since its winter here and I can't really testdrive

Update: tight fit didnt work, major oil leak. Back to splitting the cases and put in the ebay seal.

Has anyone found a source for this seal? I came across this thread while searching for one. It's on a '77 CB750A, where the hub of the torque converter pump enters the "assembled" transmission case.

Measures 53 x 75 x 8

I have explored numerous sources and ended up with the incorrect seal each time. Ebay sellers advertise this seal in the title of an ad, but if you read further down in the description, it is not actually for the seal listed in the title. I've invested way too much time in attempts to locate this seal and could really use some help.
