Found this great pic from the -70:ties on a german vintage dragracing site.
Seems to have been the winner of the "Longest Exhaust Trophy"  ;)
So cool!

I wonder why 4-4 but only one sided?  Seems a 4-4 with 2 on each side would be better for a race bike...  That's a lot of weight on the right side.

I am not of royalty
I'm an ordinary guy
From a little family
And the riches pass us by
No red carpets on the floor
Nothing fancy I can show
But when we all stand together
I hear trumpets blow!!!

Hmmmm...I do believe that's a double-engine dragster...   :o

There's *something* ahead of that visible engine...   :P

Well, whatever it is, I don´t think it´s an "extra" engine...
Took the liberty of drawing in the frame (MS Paint, what would life be without it...) and there is no way you can fit another engine there...

Yah, that makes sense...I was thinking that with the fairing mounted that far forward, there's a lot of unused space there...   :P

Heh...his foot is inside the exhaust pipes...   ;D

Maybe its a straight eight with a supercharger?  ;D ;D
Superchargers were far more common in the 70's as material technology wasn't up to turbo's
