TDSkip....... I fascinated to read you deal with Raymond at Apex Brakes. Are you in S. California? I’ve dealt with Raymond for ages and when I lived in Toronto, would often get my stuff in a few days! Super service, great product. He just made a set for my’75 cb750F. They were perfect!

The blocking issue I’m dealing with right now is that my rear brake master cylinder is skunked, and the sir clip will not come out till me to rebuild it.   I’ve been looking for replacements and nothing appears to be available, I’ve been to all of the Honda dealer sites and the usual aftermarket suppliers and nothing.

 I did soak the current one in rust dissolver but it has not worked even after several days.

 I ordered a universal fit but the boar was way too small and seemed unsafe to use because it would be badly mismatched with the original one.

TDSkip....... I read in another post about a guy that drilled from the outside, to the circlip grove. It then popped out as the drill bit pushed on it from the outside (it came thru’ from the back side of the groove). No damage and totally reusable. I have not tried this, but makes a lot of sense...... even a couple of small holes wouldn’t really weaken it!

Clever idea, don’t have much to loose by trying it. It must have been leaking for a long time because this is an inland Southern California bike and we don’t usually see this sort of corrosion.

Good luck and let us know if it works! Seems like a clever idea...... I did mention that my ‘75F rear master appeared to be unavailable, until some one told me it was almost identical to a ‘75 Wing. Found one easily. Have you checked how yours compares to an ‘80 Wing?

The same year Goldwing uses a different set up, I did check actually. Earlier CB750s seem different as well.

Got it apart.

Had to cut a relief in the side and then was able to pry it apart. Bore appears to be usable still.

      I would like to have found an '80 750F, but never came across one I could pick up one. Closest I got, was an '80 CB750K & I am definitely not complaining. But that has been awhile back & is gone now. Nice to see that you have gotten an "F" & I, myself, will be looking to see what you have in mind for it.
