other forums are funny
« on: February 06, 2007, 08:14:59 PM »
The only forums I visit are sohc4 and cb750F.com (DOHC owner too), but I was searching for pics and ran across this thread. It made me laugh and realize how little research and common sense some of these new sportbike riders use. I like all types of bikes, but the vintage crowd is way cooler. Thanks guys. I love this forum.

So, I'm confused... Is that bike really coming out or did someone just dig a pic of an old bike and start a rumor?

The RCB1000 was the in-between bike for SOHC and DOHC that did very well in Endurance road races in the late 70s. SOHC bottom cases, geared primary, with a DOHC head. There isnt too much info available on the net, but a google search will have a good page ont the history of the bike. If you look at all the pics, you can see the progression of the DOHC heads that they used through the years. I would like to build a replica, so if anyone else has more info on this bike, I would greatly appreciate it.
