750f peg brackets on 550k?
« on: September 10, 2019, 03:08:35 pm »
Hi everyone! I searched and searched and just curious if 750f peg brackets will fit on my 77’ 550k. If they will fit, what’s all needed for the swap other then the brackets themselves. Any help is appreciated!

You mean the 77-78 style with the passenger pegs attached? Maybe. You would need to also source the matching lower bolt that goes through the driver pegs and lower engine mount then probably fab up some adapter to connect the upper mounting bolt to the top rear engine mount.

I dont think the big alloy brackets will fit with the frame loops on the 550 but the only way to be sure is try it

Yes I was looking at a set off of a 78’. I would’ve thought someone from here has tried it before or know if it is a direct swap

I might give it a try and buy a set if I don’t hear that it won’t for sure work.

Gotta ask why?  Most guys find these parts ugly and not very functional...

I like the look of them and they also set everything back like a rearset would

Wiht a little work, you should be able to mount CB400 (75, 76) pegs and linkage. Depends on exhaust. And might have to do some work on the brake lever. But they will set your pegs back 6 inches or so.

as the owner of a 78 750f3, I can tell you, they won't serve as rearsets...same basic peg location as most other cb models, cb400f excluded
