Hello to all!

I’ve been riding & wrenching on bikes since 1967, so I guess you can call me a geezer. I started with a 1967 Triumph Mountain Cub, which I still own. My other bikes at present are an 86 Suzuki Cavalcade, a 77 Triumph Bonneville and a 78 GL1000 Goldwing.  I own a cycle repair & restoration business and recently had a customer bring in an 83 CB1000.
Seems about 4 summers back it was taken completely apart because someone messing with the cams dropped something into the innards of the engine. Upon tear down, a destroyed bearing was discovered in the tranny. At that point, the guy who torn into it had a heart attack. The bike has sat in 7 boxes ever since. And this is how I received it. Engine almost completely apart, along with everything else. Of course, nothing is marked, labeled, bagged, tagged or identified.
I have a good service manual, but still a challenging project.
So, I’m open to any advice on this, or info from anyone who has worked on a similar bike.   Meanwhile, I’ll start a thread on the restoration process and post pics as soon as I can.
In the recent past, I’ve restored a 74 CL450, a 71 CL350, an 85 Yamaha Virago 1000 and an 85 Honda Nighthawk 550.
Thanks for any help in advance.
