Cruzinimage piston ring labeling
« on: September 17, 2019, 07:07:55 pm »
So i have a set of 1mm oversized pistons for a cb650, from cruzinimage. I'm trying to gap the rings. The sticker attached to the run packs list 1R as the top ring, 2R as the second.
Looking at the rings themselves I have 1 labeled "R" and one labeled "RN." I was thinking RN would be 2R, the second ring however it is chrome plated on the outside which the FSM lists should be the first ring.
What. Do.

I also have a set of standard bore rings, also from them. They are both labeled "R", one is chromed and does not include specific labeling instructions to compare. I don't get what I'm missing. Should I follow the FSMs chrome guide and ignore the markings, or go with my assumptions.
