Have you read these books? - Keith Code
« on: February 02, 2007, 08:43:02 AM »
I have been considering getting into 125 GP roadracing. Obviously the biggest thing you can do to make yourself a better ridering is riding but it never hurts to read up as well.
I am looking into getting the following books but I wanted to check here and see if anyone has read them. If you have read them what did you think of them?
-twist of the wrist one and two
-Soft science of roadracing motorcycles
-Performance riding techniques

Thanks!

I bought myself twist of the wrist one and two.
I find number one much more useful at this stage in my riding, as two is much more race oriented.
I would recommend both however, as there is good information presented in an easy to digest format.

I tired reading Twist once.  Too much for my little head.  I like David Hough's stuff better because the way he writes seems easier for me to understand- but he's not talking about racing, either.
From the folks that I know who race, I get the feeling that track school would be better to start with and then read a couple of books for the technical/intellectual understanding (if you're into that icky stuff).
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!
