« on: September 20, 2019, 02:56:00 AM »
Because nobody from this part of forum is going to project part... I will repost

Especially as this triple tree can be considered as performance triple tree because of all the weight savings  ;D

very neat!

what is you solution for the stem? are you selling it together with the triples? the stock one would be very hard to remove form the triple.... it's welded there.

i think youll have more exposure in the normal tech forum.... here in hipo we are all running non stock offsets for all kind of racing setups ....

thx ;)

this is replacement for stock Top Triple Tree for CB500/550 ... all dimension are like stock top triple tree... you reuse stock bottom triple tree..

...I can make also bottom triple tree - steam combo if needed. On modern bikes steam is press fitted in to the bottom tree... with 0.1mm overlap

Very beautifully made, I like the curve on the top. many cheap out and make it flat, and that shortens the front end .
Do you have a weight comparison to stock ?
The stock stem is easy to remove, just grind the weld off, and press it out. you can  then weld a washer on it.

ok, gotcha.
to be a performance upgrade, I would do the bottom one with double pinch bolt. might not be so sleek, but increases rigidity big time.
I hope the file you built is really parametric so you can change offset/ tube distance just changing these dimensions and produce any spec. triples...

yes I can make any offset-fork diameter-fork center to center etc combination. It is not parametric but I am really fast in CAD ;)
I made triple trees also for cb750 with 60mm offset... will post pictures soon.

The only mistake I did is that I made only 12 pieces in first batch... I am left with 3 now.. Two for cb500 and one for cb750

approximately 600g vs 400g I cant measure it precisely.... +/- 30g

FWIW, an early cb750 KO “unicorn” upper tree, bare, without bolts and handlebar clamps, is below.  It a little heavier than the later ones without the unicorn.

Nah....just 3 coats of satin black VHT chassis and rollbar epoxy paint post cured to 200 degrees.  That’s plenty durable enough for my needs.
