This is a very cool thing for Mirko to do.

Thanks to him and to Don for stepping up and getting prizes for the BOTM nominations, too. It's good to see members being active and supporting the forum.

I feel obligated to give something back to community.

fun fact: This top triple tree was the first thing I have designed and made for my CB750 project.

This is Awesome! I would love to incorporate one of your beautiful conversions to give my 20th century bike some 21st century suspension and stopping power! I bought my 1981 CB650C about two years ago. It had been sitting for 10 years without being cranked after the previous owner passed. I was actually looking for a 550 or 750, but as these are getting hard to find un-restored I pulled the trigger on the 650. It has been a lot harder finding parts than expected, but I think it will be pretty unique when I am finished. I have completed most of the restoration so far and am in the tuning phase right now after getting everything back together. Once I getting it running like a top, I will weld on the tail hoop fitted for the seat that I had made. I plan to also have a custom paint job once the rest of the bike is complete. I think these triples would really clean up the front end of the bike and allow me to omit these chopper forks that they graced the custom models with!

Yeah but mine needs it more Wilbur  ;D ;)

I REALLY need to use this upgrade on my project parts bike. Look how homely it looks now! It started out as take off parts from my restoration. All parts good so find a use for them. My first step was to find a titled frame and powder coat it flake silver. Next step was assemble an engine from my spare engine. 1000cc with Stage 3 head. Nothing special  ;) Crower rods. RC315 cam. Step 3 was to take the Lesters I had to the coater for a gold coat with silver stripes to match the frame. I thought these colors would go nicely with the Flake Sunrise Orange body work and the Corbin Gun Fighter seat. Step 4 - put this SOB together!! Still a work in progress but aren't they all. I just installed the new Mikuni RS34's and might get to sync them this afternoon. It has not seen the pavement yet and may not for another 6 months as I leave for warmer climate in the morning for the next 6 months or so. I have always drooled over the idea of doing the Suzuki front end conversion and what better time for this?!! I am up to step 5 now - Mirko's front end  8) ;D

Well #$%*, at least Wilbur knows how to add pictures LMFFAO. OK I figured it out - LANDSCAPE haha. That second picture, if you click it, is painfully obvious that front end has to go!!!!!

Wilbur, you want those other Lesters or not!!  haha

Top!

I just need to disappoint raiken and some other folks around. This is conversion kit will work only with CB750. The problem is length of steam.

Just about any clipons for a GSX-R, including Mirko's:  https://messnermoto.com/product/motorcycle-clip-ons/

Or, you could tap the top of the triple trees and install clamps for bars.

here is my mix match build in progress, project stalled the last 2 months because I broke my wrist.

I have a set of gsxr forks for this already getting refurbished..I would love a nice triple on this.
This 750 is coming together by way of 3 bikes bought inside of 4 months. One titled frame, one 750 drag pipe from which I acquired the aluminum rims and box swing arm that has stock and extended rear axle positions. It came with nice open fork tubes BUT if I win this triple Ill gladly swap on the gsxr set up I have in the corner, my intentions were to use it on my 550 since the stock stem can be bolted onto a 550.

Thanks for the opportunity.

A winner will be selected from the submitted posts following October 31, and you will be put in touch with Mirko to discuss you specifications for the triple trees.

Very cool for you guys to do this.   Unfortunately, my [stalled] project is too far along for me to submit it.

One question: who will decide the winner?

Thanks

Won't the 750 stem fit the 500 with a shim or two?

Jerry , only if you are running the Webers..

If the lower tree can be flipped and  the bearing still fits on the proper diameter , then I think it will fit the 500..
Unless the tree looks different underneath.

I think the trees  will need picking up in Eastern Europe if you win them .. :-\      :-\
