Help diagnosing some leaking
« on: September 22, 2019, 11:21:55 PM »
Hey guys, you’ve all been a huge help in the past for me, have another question I’m hoping to get some help with.

Just noticed this thin streak of what appears to be oil seeping out of the top end. Comes out of the spark plug openings, looks like it’s slowly leaking out of where the top end meets the main engine. Hoping it’s just a gasket issue or something simple like that. Anyone have any idea what it might be?

Thanks!

That looks to be very minor; is that the worst of the leak? I'm would guess it's the valve cover gasket, but it's not a simple repair. You might try tightening the valve cover screws near the seep, but wait until you learn about JIS drivers and such. The motor is not going to bleed to death. ;)
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
