Too much Threebond 1184?
« on: September 23, 2019, 12:29:48 PM »
Watched several videos to try to get the correct amount of Threebond. Wound up having a little ooze outside the case. Is this ok?

Second photo of the inside of the case. Red X is assembly lube, black circle is the Threebond.

That's the beauty of threebond, it will bulge out a little and not shear off inside. It looks good to me.

I just took a VW case apart and it was swimming in silicone. I'd bet there were 3 tubes in it between the case, the oil screen plate and all 8 pushrod tubes. I found a red anerobic case sealer. I hope it works, it looked too much like the assembly lube which was disturbing.
