K2 CB750: Is there a bolt or part missing? Pic

Today I did some work on my bike which included removing the airbox and carbs. Am I dreaming or is there a piece missing on my bike?

Look at the hexagonal space in the photo. Its hollow:

Nothing missing, it's part of the casting. Either to eject it from the mold or to position it for final machining or both.

Great and thanks. Its funny the things you dont notice on a bike until you start actually working on the bike!
