‘74 CB550 Project. HELP!
« on: September 30, 2019, 02:48:56 PM »
Hello I am on my second project first one was an 82 Seb 650 now I’m working on a 74 CB550. I have a lot of the work done already carbs rebuilt but when I remove the pipes they were rusted out. Anyone know any sites or resources for finding some pipes. I have plenty of leads on after market looking for something someone might have in parts. Thanks as I get further along I will post pics.

The pipes never lasted very many years and it is difficult to find original pipes that do not have rust issues or rotten baffles. Reproduction pipes might be available from Cmsnl.com and run you €600 for each pipe except #3 which is €900? That does not include the brackets or collars.

Excuse me... my first set lasted close to 75.000 kms and then was sold to somebody else. My second set now is in service for 60.000 kms and is as new. Using the bike for what it was intended and rides of 25 minutes minimum is the secret. A complete set will cost you € 1.082,95.
