CB 750 seat identification

I recently bought what i think is a mid 70's CB750 seat at an estate sale. how can i identify exactly what year it is?

 The pattern on top is a way. Just off the top of my head it looks like a 1973-76 but someone more in the know may nail it down closer. Nice find,if you decide to flip it send me a PM.  Eric

just my little 2 cents. the strap buckles are like my 75 550's and i know earlier 750's had that square buckle....

It’s the same as the one on my CB750K6. Fit’s all the Ks up to 76. The seat hinges are on the other side for K7 and up.
You only go around once in life so it might as well be on a motorcycle.

That's definitely not a 550 seat. I don't think that is the original cover (too nice given the rust on the bottom) so it is likely that the cover and strap are replacements.

Looks identical to the one my buddy took of his K5 to install a K&Q with a sissy.

Back when we knew it all. He still regrets letting her go...

Document holder, when equipped, on the 550 was in the rear section of the seat... not the front like this seat.

nope, you misunderstood...i'm not saying it's a 550 seat, it's not. i'm saying the buckles are the same as as a 1975 550f.....which helps to date the seat. plus, a 75 550f seat is brown.
