Just acquired an 81 for resto in black but it’s plain black not metallic Cosmo Black, looks like it’s been painted, it’s a UK spec bike, would it of been plain black when new ?

81 would be a DOHC4.  Check Motorera.com/honda for what they list on the US bikes...might be same colors used in U.K. bikes...
