Hey friends, new to the board, just picked up a '78 750A. I'm the third owner, and bought it cuz A: it looked like a fun bike with more HP than the CB500T it was replacing for my sidecar rig (although I didn't realize that it was so surprisingly underpowered compared to my previous '80 750F
) B: It was only $600 and C: it had a vetter fairing with a working cigarette lighter...
I'd throw up some pics but I've got the fairing off and various parts laying around. It has a rear rack and backrest (already sold), shoei bags, the vetter with decent stereo and engine and side case crash bars (which are all off now... don't need them with a sidecar rig).
Looking forward to some fun trips with the wife and even some special trips with the kids in the years to come. Hoping its got enough power to safely drive on the expressway (the CB500t just didn't...)
Looking forward to learning more and to be a part of the community. I've owned a 76 CB400f (wish i never sold it), a CB500T sidecar rig (engine blew... to much high reving with the sidecar... hence the 750A to replace it...), an 80 CB750F that I did a pretty extensive cafe build on (sold it to a guy this past summer and he wrecked it the next week... he was fine, the bike not so much).
I also ride sport bikes and will do a track day or two every summer (I'm slow though). Currently have an SV650 for track days and some fun stuff around town and getting the new 750A ready to put the side car on this winter.
