How to search
« on: November 17, 2019, 06:51:09 AM »
I'm a better mechanic than I am computer language manager...so please help me understand the rules of search engines.  Specifically this one on sohc.
How do I punctuate a set of terms to keep them linked?  Such as " fork" and "bolt"?  Suppose I want search for references to fork bolt but I don't want to see every reference to someone writing about a fork seal.

Where to learn about this logic would be helpful, thanks.

I'm by no means computer smart either, but was curious.  I tried your example in the search box with quotation marks like this " fork bolt" and I thought it worked pretty good. Is that what you are looking o do?

Sort of,  I would like to set up the search parameters such that the only returns are a reference to fork and bolt together.  Using just quotes gets me a lot of references to the work fork only.  I was hoping for a way to make the search engine narrow the field to only fork when combined with bolt as the next word.  Fork bolt is just an example phrese, I have already solved all my stuck fork bolt issues. :D
