CB500 engine mounting bolts
« on: November 24, 2019, 10:37:35 AM »
I am rebuilding a 1972 CB500K. I want to replace the rear engine mounting bolts - the large 12mm x 360mm (Pt# 90107-323-00) has a bend on the end and the smaller 10mm x 260mm  (Pt# 90108-323-000) which is very rusted. I found a whole stainless steel engine mounting kit online for a reasonable price. I would prefer to use grade 8 steel galvanized bolts over Stainless steel for reasons of strength and torque settings. I have checked David Silver spares and elsewhere and the bolts are always listed unavailable.
Does anyone know a source for these bolts? Or alternatively has anyone had any experience with the available Stainless Steel sets?

Dont forget the lower of the two is a stud as the footrests go on the ends
