Ha ha, well I rode it to work this morning at 0515, it started first kick, and so as not to piss off the neighbours I rode straight off without letting it warm up. I'd installed a better headlight unit last night as smoke filled the sealed beam on the first 50 year old headlight, but low beam only lasted until I got onto the freeway, then blinked out,  so I selected high beam and rode the next 20 miles without any issues.

When I got to the barracks I was backing it into a parking spot in the "motorcycles only" area, when the lights and engine cut out. Poop. I parked it, switched the lights off and reset the circuit breaker, and it was all good again. Whether I ride it home, or the prospective owner does will be decided today, to be honest I'll be happy enough either way, my new Delkevic exhaust that I bought for the Bitsa arrived yesterday, and I've decided that I'll install the Lesters when they arrive, so that should take my mind off the loss of my old Swamp Rat called Christine...... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Well the deed is done, and Christine the Swamp Rat has moved on to her new custodian. He took it for a test ride and I pointed out the little things that it will still need that I didn't get around to, but he was still enthusiastic to take it, so I gave him the keys, and took an Uber home. By the time I got home the money was in my account.

Next bike project is the Kawasaki Mad Max bike, but the wife has told me to clean out the patio workshop and turn it back into a patio for our Christmas Eve BBQ in 2 weeks, so I won't start on it until I can have the patio back. No biggie, I need to shove another engine into the Bitsa bike and get it ready for the Lester wheels and a few other cool 1970's era parts.

The Delkevic pipe arrived yesterday, which was great service because I only ordered it from the US last week. It was well packed, and looks to be exceptional quality. I hope those Lesters get here quick, I was never happy with the wheels and tyres currently on it, so it'll be good to get a couple of nice straight wheels on the bike, and a nice sounding pipe. Plus I need a distraction. ;D

I"m sure we are many that look forward to follow Terry"s very amusing  build threads.

A new CB750 or the upgrade and revival of the Bitsa bike :)

A Kawasaki Z1000 thread is already started I guess....
