CB350F Guys - Can you confirm this triple tree top?
« on: December 03, 2019, 07:55:29 PM »
Can you all confirm these are the correct forks/triple tree for the CB350F?  ('73 model I think)
The prev. owner said they were off something else but I think they are correct for the CB350F.

They look like they are from the CB400F.

Looks like ignition mount may have been cut off.

Thanks ttr400!

I just found your website by accident after you posted.  I was searching CB400F stuff and boom! your site popped up.  You have some good looking stuff on there.  I'm bookmarking it.

It will be a while before I start on this project.  I don't believe the ball bearings are currently in it.  Prev. owner must have just stuck it on there to roll around.
Do you have any advice for using a 400F front end on a 350F since it's on there already, other than getting ball bearings for it?

Thanks,
Todd

The 400F triple tree is essentially the same shape as the 350F in terms of mounting. What is different is how the gauges are mounted and that the idiot lights are different. On the 350F they are part of the bridge that holds on the bars. On the 400F you have the idiot lights and keyed ignition switch mounted between the gauges, as well as the steering lock. Other than that, IIRC, the triple tree will mount to the 350F frame without problems, and the brake assembly as well. The headlight and turn dignal mounts were very different for a 400F, but I believe you can still use the fork ears from the 350F on the 400F stuff. Same fork tube diameter as well, 33mm.
