Motorcycle Makers on Jeopardy
« on: December 04, 2019, 03:24:57 PM »
Motorcycles turned up on Jeopardy yesterday with ez picks like this one:

MOTORCYCLE MAKERS: Thanks to Apple Carplay, you can access your iPhone while riding the 2019 Gold Wing from this company.

Other answers/questions were H-D (the hyphenated company), Triumph (the Thruxton company),
Kawasaki (the Ninja company), Ducati (sorry, forgot the answer... maybe who makes a Panigale?)

The contestants stayed away from the category but the male contestant motored through when that was all that was left.

I'd be a lot more interested if game shows were giving away a Gold Wings, Thruxtons, and Panigales.

game shows over here have been known to give away scooters , mostly vespas, if you keep an eye out on the classifieds ( er sorry, ebay these days) you can usually pick them up cheap as 'unwanted present'....

The Kawasaki answer was "let the good times  roll"  I expected to hear "you meet the nicest people" it didn't happen.

I don't know that Jeopardy has ever touched the subject before. I have been told that librarians make the best contestants. A recent champ racked up seven figure winnings and he was a gambler. He can buy an HD, Thruxton, GoldWing, Panigale, whatever he wants.

Id like a category with some answers like this:
   61 x 63mm
9 screws (not 10) in the clutch cover
   3.25 x 19 , 4.00 x 18
   0.002", 0.003", 0.014", 0.025"
Disc brake, electric start, 13s 1/4 mi, 125 mph, $1495
