Why My Two SOHC 750s are waiting (it has 6 cylinders)
« on: December 09, 2019, 08:27:17 PM »
I have had a couple of the six-cylinder motorcycles in the garage for a while. One is a 97 Valkyrie tourer and the other is a 79 CBX.  I enjoy a good custom project and the last one I did was my 78GL 1000. The CBX was more of a restification, keeping the period Mods that the original owner that I bought it from had done.

So when another six cylinder presented itself at an astonishing price, I had to bite.  An 83 Kawasaki  Voyager, this is a derivative of the KZ1300, but with fuel injection that increased both horsepower and torque to move the bulk economically. The 903 pound behemoth literally dwarfed my Valkyrie.

It has been on the operating table for three months now and is almost done. Let’s just say that it has lost a lot of weight...Once it’s finished, which will be soon, the 78 super sport goes under the knife.

Congrats!  Looks great.  I didn't think that could be done to a Voyager.

Hey Mike! Fancy meeting you here...

For the record, that six pack is humming right along on my 79 Z. Thanks!

WARNING!  Shameless huckster post coming:

An avalanche of health issues are causing me to part with some of my projects. This thing remains tantalizingly close to being road-worthy, but is not finished. If there's anybody local to Phoenix and/or the Southwest who might be interested, PM me please.
