cb350f fork spring removal HELP!
« on: December 18, 2019, 11:04:43 AM »
Hello,

Trying to remove the spring from the fork assembly....everyone online just seams to pull theirs right out, mine pulls out about 6" until this bottom piece hits and then I can't pull the spring out.  Any ideas??

Thanks!

You need to undo the lock nut beneath the top fork nut - a spanner on each. Then unscrew the top nut and the lock nut from the damper rod and bingo it all drops to bits.
Good luck

thank you, will try that shortly.  i knew it had to be easy!  going to work on that rust also.  it's above the seal when compressed and ive tried foil and wd-40 and 1000 grit.  going to go down to 600 grit and see if that does better.
