Possible purchase of Vintage Service Bulletins
« on: December 17, 2019, 12:53:41 PM »
Hey guys,

I’d like some of your input on a possible purchase of some old Honda Service Bulletins. I’m currently in communication with a seller on eBay that is offfering me this collection of vintage Honda Service Bulletins for $120. Originally he was asking $189.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Motorcycle-Service-Bulletins-Manual-RARE-LOOK-Free-Shipping-Make-Offer/254371231830?_mwBanner=1&ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F0%2F0%2F0%3Fmpre%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fulk%252Fitm%252F254371231830%26rvr_id%3D0%26rvr_ts%3D15a2ac5e16f0aa47a5c0d814fff66fb0&ul_noapp=true&pageci=08518226-4dee-446b-bca9-31459cd28e04

As I’m currently looking for CB450K0 Bulletins, So these Bulletins don’t help me as they have no K0 information. I’m assuming these are rare and may be appreciated by other members on this forum with bikes that are covered in this binder. I figured I could pick these up for $100, scan them and share them here. But the seller will only go down to $120.

My questions are,

1. Are they worth the $120?
2. Is there anyone here that will find these useful?
3. Does anyone here already have a copy of these?
3(a). If so, will they be willing to sale or mail me the documents so I can scan them, then I can mail them back (at my expense)?

Let me know what you guys think. Right now the information is not useful for me so I’m hesitant on paying over $100. Even then the $100 seems like a lot to me.

Thanks
-Isaias

The sohc ones are on here under technical documentation and some extra are on the UK site under "alladins cave"  This listing does have a lot of other Hondas so may be of interest on other forums.
Every registered Honda dealer would get 1 copy of every bulletin so they shouldnt be rare BUT they dont appear "in the wild" very often so to somebody with interest $100 ish is probably about right imho.

+1 to Bryanj. I’m only interested in th CB750 and there appear to be a couple I have not seen here. They’re probably a decent deal for $120.

Thanks guys,

I have parts manuals and shop manuals for the cb450s and the 4-speed CB450 Black Bomber. I’m really looking for service Bulletins for the 1965-1968 CB450 K0 Black Bomber to learn about the history about the bike. Why things where changed, etc.. I’m finding it difficult to find much information, other than the parts and shop manuals. So I figured whatever I can find I can scan and upload to the forums to help preserve the information.

Unfortunately this eBay find is not for the CB450 black bomber. But I think some on these forums would appreciate having the information. Thanks for your input, it’s motivated me enough to go ahead and purchase these documents. I’ll scan them to multiple PDF files once they arrive and I’ll share the link here and the other Honda forums once they’re ready.

If you have a copy of the original Honda manual for the 450K0 4 speed a good friend of mine would love a copy.

Here are a couple of cb450 K0 Items I've made available for people on the hondatwins.net forum,

PDF of the Bombers Drivers Manual - https://www.hondatwins.net/forums/1-project-logs/130656-cb450-k0-black-bomber-owners-manual.html

PDF of the Bombers Shop Manual (In case you need to make repairs) - https://www.hondatwins.net/forums/54-manuals-technical-documents/130754-cb450-k0-black-bomber-shop-manual-pdf.html

Here’s the CB450 k0 parts Manual

And a back up link to the K0 shop manual if you need it

There’s a lot of good information and people willing to help out those with Black Bombers at the HondaTwins.net website. Tell your friend to have a look around there for other information he might need. I’m currently restoring 2 CB450 K0’s and post quite often there.
