insulation / padding / wadding for DB Killer?
« on: December 18, 2019, 09:49:35 PM »
I'm working on installing a DB killer in my exhaust (using this generic one). It fits great, but I've never done this before. Am I supposed to wrap some fiberglass insulation, or steel wool sheeting or something around the narrow part? I tried the fiberglass, but couldn't get it to "stick". Is there a special tape or something that people use?

Looking for any advice on making an effective DB Killer without welding. Thanks!

The fiberglass can be secured with light wire or tape ( it may burn off) anything to keep it on long enough for installation.  You may get different results by varying the amount of packing material you install.
Periodically check the retainer screws, I knew I lost a baffle last year on a ride by the horrendous noise behind me !
intrigued by the wail...seduced by the scream.
