100 miles is almost 161 km. One of my frequent rides is just over that!

I think I'll do that this year. 10 on each bike ;)

My most frequent ride is a around 60 miles on nice country roads with not much traffic, maybe an animal or crazy bird crashing into me. This ride has mostly a restaurant visit included. Kebab, sometimes burger.

21st  next weekend will be my planned start date if weather is OK.

I will skip restaurants and Cafes thanks to the China syndrome. Only rides.

mates got a spare beemer 650 dakar thing,he took his africa twin and lent me the beemer, covered some dirt roads with another mate on an old tenere, did 170 kays all up,bit big for me but good fun,hit some greasy red clay down a trail that pettered out, these bikes were too clumbsy to go any further,if they were proper 250cc dirt bikes?got a little rain but no big deal.

Odometer pics Dave, or it didn't happen! You're right about big "adventure" bikes though, they're good on the road, but my sportster would sh1t on them in the dirt! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey I never said no odometer, I use Google to find out distance all the time.. no GPS.
Now if you do a hundred miles in a day on a bicycle, that will count for two.. hear that FunJimmy.. ?

No worries Dave, noted, and sorry Frank, but this is bigger than all of us, riders to the right, bullsh1tters to the left, no in=between.

There needs to be rules, or society, as we know it will collapse, just like it's currently doing due to the Corona Virus, what with the toilet paper wars and what have you.

Only odometer readings can be accepted, and there better not be any electric drills attached....... ;D

Thanks Frank, your thread, but the over-riding rules for this forum is "Pics, or it didn't happen", and that keeps everyone honest, you included. I'll look forwards to your ride reports, with pics! ;D

Ha ha, you're clutching at straws Frank, I can show you thousands of dollars worth of gas receipts, all that has gone into my car. How many folks here would bother finding a roller, then doing 100 miles on it?  Come on mate, you made the 100 mile rule, so don't start making excuses! ;D

Big bike, pffft. My FJR1300 is a baby compared to my Rocket III's 2300cc. Lets keep to our SOHC4's, I intend to do a lot more rides next year, like Sean my minimum ride is usually 100 miles, as long as my builds don't get in the way. ;D
Maybe we should accept this rule change from Terry ? EH . ?
It would be back to go, forget about your 2 100 milers..

Yep, get a pingle Frank, I put one on my Z1000, beautifully engineered quality piece. Of course, on a CB750 tank with the 2 outlet tap, it's usually just tfhe copper washers under the mounting screws t hat allow fuel to leak past, not THE  seal. ;D

I got a handful of Pingels, 1 outlet, 2 outlet and 3. The only one I need, later on, will be AN for braided lines.
You know I did not check the 2 screws lately or probably not since install. Not sure if I have fiber or copper, I in fact made copper ones and annealed them before I put on the new  petcock.. in 18 in a field near the Bonneville GP track..
I think I used the copper.
I could have made the adaptor last year on a drill press, but mistakenly thought, due to price that the Pingel adaptor used the milled in oval O ring like Honda did.. and I needed a mill , not a drill press.

I need another pingle for the 1428cc bike I'm slowly collecting parts for, I think I need a dual output one for the 40mm flat slides. The tank doesn't have a threaded bung, so need to get the adapter plate with the o ring too. ;D

Or make it.

Yep, I actually found the one I made for one of my GS1000's this week, I might compare it to the spare KZ1000 tank and see if it fits. The pingle mounts only come with a paper gasket, I think I used a blue Selley's sealant last time, and once cured, didn't dribble any fuel. ;D
