Bearings for GSXR front end with stock CB hub
« on: December 21, 2019, 01:34:34 AM »
I meant to post about these last year when I found them but the bike got put on hold when I started building the cnc plasma cutter.

So after much searching I found a set of bearing that fits the GSXR front end axle and the Honda CB stock hub. Now I have not actually fit everything together yet as I’m just starting the build again. But I cane across the bearings tucked away in the parts box with the axle and remembered I had not posed about them. Thy are a double row rubber sealed angular contact bearing so thy should be just about perfect for the job. I remember back when I ordered them it took about a month to get them as thy at that time where only found from one supplier over seas. The number is 3905-RS and made by Fushi.
Here is a picture of one bearing sealed in its packaging and the other fur onto the GSXR axel (perfect fit).

Is there enough plain area in the hub to support the bearing outer? Not sure about radial ball in this instance, depends on side and radial loadings
