What's up with Megacycle Cam Prices??
« on: December 25, 2019, 08:11:38 AM »
As the title says... Looks like they have jumped up to over $500 WITH you still sending in your own cam for them to work on. They used to be at least a little competitive, right? I was looking at the 125-NR, but now may be looking for a competitor for a COUPLE HUNDRED less. Can anyone convince Liteblue me its worth it? I hear only amazing things about the product, but dang...

Hardwelded cams cost more.
If that very cam will do the best for your engine and your needs, its a small extra investment.

Check Yoshi cam price at yamiya750.com.

Like Per said....billet cams are always cheaper. Megacycle doesn't want to buy the volume of blanks necessary for a purchase so.....it is hardwelds only. Many of the ancillary costs have gone up such as nitriding. Part of it is associated with being in California. Cam Motion stopped making billet cams because of EPA regulations and nitriding.

It is a pity that rhe cam.is hidden inside. A Megacycle cam is very beautiful with very high quality look.
