The excitement builds.....

Sorry to report this fellas, but i didn't make it to the track today. I got sidetracked and traveled a few hours from home to look at an old VW project bug. I ended up buying it but it took so long to load it up, there wasn't enough time left to hit the dragstrip with the bike. I'm now thinking about going somewhere this weekend if the weather holds up.

Pops,

I really hate to hear about your diagnosis.  I do know you'll turn this around and continue to live your best life, one day at a time. As far as hanging up the leathers, you've had a darn good run over the years and probably met a lot of good people.

I'll try to stay in touch and hope you can make a race at some point.

Made a few changes to the suspension on the bike over this past weekend.  I had assistance from one of our forum members that stopped by for an overnight visit. George Schuld was gracious enough to lend a hand in helping me remove, and adjust the shock and the pivot links. I believe we now have the shock soft enough to allow the bike to squat which aids in transferring the weight upon launching the bike. I should be able to leave a lot harder now in order to lower the 60' times. I feel I can drop the short time at least a tenth over my first pass of 1.53 seconds. My goal is to get a consistent 1.30 sixty foot time out of this monoshock set up in hope's of seeing a low 6.20 pass in the 1/8th mile. Looks like I'll be tied up this weekend due to the unfortunate death and funeral of Gladys sister, so it might be a few weeks before I can hit the track again.

Thanks again for hanging out with me in the shop George. We enjoyed the visit.

Frankie,

You and Gladys are great hosts.  The new bike looks awesome.  I look forward to seeing the bikes in action.

Tell Gladys we are thinking of her.😏

I'm sharing your misery with Parkinson's. I too go to a monthly meeting along with 2 weekly meetings of "Rock Steady Boxing" therapy. My friends are helping twisting wrenches for fun, but I gave up riding years ago. Keep your chin up!  :D
