old frame disposal
« on: January 08, 2020, 10:05:04 AM »
I got an old Suzuki t350 in a bike buy. I've parted out the rusty beast out to a guy to help his bike come back to life. My question is what to do with the untitled frame which for some reason appears to be in pretty good shape? It seems a shame to hack it up but I have no room to keep such things.
I tried to sell it whole but that always ended up with me needing to crate it and transport it an hour to a truck dock for barely what my gas would cost.

No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

When I bought a 550 frame a few years ago from a yard in Michigan (no swing arm) they just stuck a label on the neck as shipped it as is. They might have wrapped it in a Saran Wrap like plastic, but no box was involved.

Otherwise offer as a pick up only item and if you don't get any bites the metal has value as scrap.

I bought a stereo for my garage years ago, two of the 6 speakers were blown out, so I left them on the footpath (sidewalk) and they were gone in 10 minutes. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

This town doesn't even have a bus station. A bus stops on the way through but won't take cargo. The guys getting out of jail have to sit on the sidewalk until the bus comes by to take them home. L0L. A guard watches them until they're gone.
It's a shame someone left this bike outside until it was toast.
