Sorry, I figured the dealer would still have them but South Sound Honda in Olympia, Washington, one of the least expensive Honda dealers out there did not list them as being available. So, aftermarket/reproduction parts is the only option. I looked at the 74 K4 Fische parts listing, cannot imagine the same number would come up as available.

Klaus Studios makes a lot of rare/repo rubber parts too... their stuff lasts too.

Finished off the batt. box today. All the components screw down (or hang from) relocated, stock brackets. There’s a combo rectifier/regulator bolted in, under the solenoid. Fits nicely in the Rickman “triangle”....... when I braze in mounting tabs I will lift it a little higher, and further back. Right now it’s hanging from 4 x 1” EMT pipe wall clamps!

Back on this Project. My set of led dash indicator lights finally arrived today. Next step will be to get them installed in the alloy dash panel. First I plan to soldering all the original wires (colour correct) from a spare set of dash lights. Photos will follow. This is the last job and then planning to roll this bike out for a road test! Raining today, but temps are finally warming up.

Weather is finally improving and despite all the “farm chores”, got a couple of hours done on the Rickman. My Chinese LED EBay lights finally arrived so back on the dash panel. After installing them, cut a small plastic hose that slipped on the back of each lamp base. Packed them with black silicone. They have a very bright light, so neutral, oil press., Hi beam, and turn signal flasher should be visible, even in day light. Next step will be to solder and shrink wrap all the original wires on, so the connections in the head lamp shell will match the original factory wiring diagram.

Rickman used the original lamp binnacle, bolted to a flat spot in the fairing, under the windscreen. I wanted to avoid this, as it makes removing the fairing a pain. The turn signal stalks bolt into the fairing, but they can be unhooked with a pair of small trailer connectors. Moving ahead and almost ready to go for a ride!

Thanks for the comments! Finally got the dash back on, all the warning lights work. Small LED lights are really bright too. Sharp eyes will notice the tach is on the “wrong” side, but the tach cable was a bit too long. Mounting it on the left solved the problem. The speedo drive is on the right side of the rear wheel, so it will need a long, Custom cable from Motion Pro. Test ride is next.

Apparently Venhill makes the long cable needed for like 21 pounds. Shipping might hurt a bit but worth looking onto.

Your Speedo tach bracket could be longer and cover the other holes, it looks like it will crack down the road.
Lucky for you maybe, I got some nice aluminium from a bus crash near our house, if you need some. Did you get a chainguard ? The one on Bring a trailer has a very good pic of the chaiguard..

B6, I noticed someone is offering reproduction front headlight/ fairing mounts, as well as chain guards on ebay. They look very well made, with the price reflecting that. You can see how the guard is formed and welded in the pictures [just like the originals].
Also, a bike you will recognize on BAT right now. Right on the heels of a no sale of a VERY nice example. Scott M.

Scott..... I saw those parts on EBay! The head light/ fairing bracket and the chain guard look VERY well made. I’m just too cheap? The one on my bike was carved up to hold an oil cooler instead, but I may try and repair it. Been a little distracted. My K4 need a carb replaced (broken float post that I repaired with JBWeld 6-7 years ago finally fell off), K3 got fresh oil/filter and a tune up, and my K1 is out and running sweetly again.

The Rickman is off the work lift and will have it’s first test ride, next week. I’m using the old race tank, but am considering the alloy CR tank fromTab Classics, in Wales. Next will be the head light and fairing!

I know the feeling! If I'm not fixing one I'm fixing another. My own doing. Too many bikes [and cars and boats] is not a bad problem to have ,especially the way things are going these days!

There us a used one on there, might work , just over 200 Canadian shipped from the UK.

The reproduction one looks different up at the front than the one that was on the orange bike that just went thru on BAT, it had a great pic I did not save.
And here I was offering to try to make a one off , for 300 or less. If I make one it won't go down as far on the back side of the curved end, but I was going to try to do it with no welds.

Wow..... haven’t looked at the Rickman since early July!! That day, I rode it about 3-4 kilometres, and everything worked as it should. The battery box I built, stock airbox, horn,, turn signals, key switch, clamp on side stand, and a host of other road equipment are held in place with temporary brackets, zip ties and tape!

I put it back on the work table today. Next step is to completely dismantle the bike. When I am down to the bare frame/ engine, I will slide it into the back of my JEEP and head of to my best friend’s shop. Terry is a superb welder and fabricator. I have some of the old tabs, and will have to make a few. After that, the frame and bits will get fresh, bright nickel plating...... pictures to follow.

Started pulling down the Rickman today. No sooner did I get into it than a neighbour pulled up with the rear wheel from his bike (flat tire). 2003 rubber. What a job! The old tire was stiff and cold, really put up a fight. By the time we replaced the tape, tube, tire and balanced it..... done for the day.

I had to use a saw when removing old tires mounted 1988, removed 2012 to take wheels apart. Only reuse the hubs. Like bakelite

PeWe..... I cheated too. I put a small cutting wheel on my Dremel tool and cut through steel braided wire, just in the bead, both sides. It stinks, but makes short work of the removal.
